About
Midwest Natural Gardening hopes to inform, inspire, and advise gardeners in the American Midwest, including the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and parts of Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri, who want to learn about natural and organic gardening techniques.
Our philosophy is Healthy Garden, Healthy Gardener, Healthy Planet.
We believe that by practicing natural and organic gardening techniques, gardeners can create beautiful, healthy gardens that benefit both their own health and the health of the planet.
Our site is divided into three main sections:
Healthy Garden
This section focuses on designing and maintaining a natural landscape using native plants, ecological design, and organic gardening methods.
Healthy Gardener
This section focuses on edible landscaping and the health benefits of fresh, organic foods that you have grown yourself. But physical health isn’t the only kind of health that is important. This area also includes information about money and labor saving tips, gardening with children, and other tips to help you enjoy emotional and financial health as well as physical health.
Healthy Planet
This section focuses on the ways a natural, organic garden benefits the environment, including how you can attract wildlife to your garden, how to design low impact landscapes, and more.
